The Past Week...

Well I am really getting bad with this. I totally forget what happened and don't have much to write about when I wait so long. So I will try my best to remember. Wednesday of last week I hung out with my friend Mike for a while before work. We went to Panera Bread for lunch and back to his place to play some video games. Work was pretty good, slow, but still made decent tips. I don't really remember what I did Thursday after work. Friday I got out of work pretty close to 5 and just came home and watched TV. I have been really tired lately because I am staying up so late and think I am getting a minor cold. Saturday I was really tired all day and had a little stomach ache. I made okay tips for a Saturday, not as much as I would have liked, but still not bad. I have already accumulated $200 in tips, which is a nice little savings! Sunday was major baking day at work. Kathy and I baked just about everything that could be. We got out around three and then Stephanie came over to make frosting and cake for class. It was not quite as much as we had to make last week but still a lot. I also put up some fall/Halloween things around the house. I am really starting to feel like its fall. Can't wait for the color change of the leaves, apple cider, donuts, etc. However I am suprised it is already almost the end of September. I feel like the months are moving so much faster now that I am not in school. I wish I had time to do fall things like corn mazes, apple picking, hay rides, etc. Those are things I miss for sure and fall is one of my favorite times of the year. However I am also looking forward to putting up Christmas decorations. And I just found out that not only is Mariah re-releasing her current album with bonus tracks, but also her Christmas album! And next month Cinderella and Tarzan are released on DVD. AND the 4th Harry Potter movie, "Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe", and "Rent" come out. Also Stephanie, Sherry, I, and possibly others have decided to go see Lion King at PPAC. Which I have been dying to see for years. We are getting the cheap seats, but in PPAC there is not really a bad seat. I just bought the soundtrack and already love it.

Monday I rushed around at work because I just am always so sick of working by then and want to be done. Knowing that I don't have to be back until 6pm Wednesday, helps me rush along. Last night was the 3rd cake class. We practiced shells, drop flowers, and the second step of the rose. I really should try to pratice shells and writing. They are my downfalls so far. I am also nervous about making so many roses next week and all the flowers in Course 2. But I know, just like anyhting else, it will take practice and I have to practice if I want to master it. So the cake for last night was a regular two layer cake with clowns on top. Here is my final cake:


Did not turn out too bad, better than I thought it would. Next week is the final class of this course. And the cake is a regular two layer cake with shell border, spray of roses on the top, and other things you choose. After class we made enchiladas for dinner which were really yummy. Then I got really tired and tucked in for the night.

So here we are today, my day off. I got up late, kinda just worn out and don't want to do anything. Even though I kinda feel like I should because I hate just wasting my day off. But it is one of those cloudy stay in days. I do want to clean the house a bit, since that is my normal Tuesday routine, but who knows. My friend Jeffrey could not get vacation time in November, so looks like I am back to going in January. I got my plane ticket for back home, leaving Dec. 22, Kris is coming the day after Christmas, and then we are both coming back here the 29th. Alright that is all I can think of now. I REALLY need to do this more often so I don't forget so much!
